If you want to get a workout but don't want to pay for an expensive gym membership, weblog Wise Bread notes a few ways you can get a gym-class workout for free.
Some of you fitness gurus may already know this, but I didn't: many private gyms have free classes or free days (not just limited trial memberships) where you can come in and work out without cost:
Privately-owned gyms often have free classes or days when all classes are free and open to the general public. In my area, friends have told me about freebies at their gyms: a women's-only facility hosts a dance-type class on Sundays, and a CrossFit location holds Saturday sessions at no charge.
They also note that some gyms will have free programs for triathlon training and other community events, so check around to see what you can find. We've also mentioned that you can barter for a free class here and there, too, depending on the gym. Hit the link for more tips on getting a free workout (or, if you aren't the gym type, just learn how to get a complete workout at home).
